π Security Tips: Protect Your Crypto
1. Seed Phrase (12/24 Words) β NEVER Share
Your seed phrase is the master key to your wallet. Anyone who has it can steal your crypto. Never store it digitally (no screenshots, no cloud, no notes app). Write it down on paper and store it in a safe place.
2. Enable 2FA (Google Authenticator)
Always use Google Authenticator, not SMS-based 2FA. SMS can be hacked via SIM swapping. Use Authy or Google Authenticator for all exchange accounts.
3. Use a Withdrawal Whitelist
Most exchanges allow you to whitelist withdrawal addresses. Funds can only be sent to pre-approved addresses. This prevents hackers from draining your account even if they gain access.
4. Hardware Wallet for Large Amounts
For holdings over $1,000, invest in a hardware wallet (Ledger or Trezor). Your private keys never touch the internet β making remote hacks impossible.
5. Beware of Phishing Scams
Always double-check URLs before entering login details. Bookmark official exchange
