Most crypto content online is written to sell, not to educate. Affiliate incentives push sites to hide fees, downplay risks, and oversell products. This platform exists to be the exception — every guide, review, and comparison is written as if your money is on the line, because for real readers, it often is.

Meet Dima Blum

I first encountered Bitcoin in 2017 during the ICO boom — not as a believer, but as a sceptic. That healthy scepticism pushed me to dig deeper: reading whitepapers, stress-testing wallets, and tracing fund flows on-chain rather than trusting headline promises.

Over the following years I moved from passive observer to active participant. I tested dozens of hardware and software wallets, onboarded to major CEXs and DEXs, experimented with DeFi yield strategies, and used crypto debit cards as an actual everyday payment method — not just a screenshot for a review.

By 2020 I began writing publicly, driven by frustration: the gap between what crypto services claimed and what they delivered was enormous, and almost nobody was documenting it honestly. Conversion fees buried in footnotes, custodial risks glossed over, gas costs omitted from “zero fee” headlines — I started calling it out.

Today I run CryptoStartNow full-time, producing in-depth guides based on real-world testing, interface walkthroughs, and careful reading of terms of service — not press releases or rewritten documentation.
